New Jersey Chinese-American Chamber of Commerce (NJCACC) hosted its 6th Anniversary & Awards Banquet at Crowne Plaza Edison, Edison, NJ on Thursday, September 24, 2009. The event was sold out with more than 200 guests attending. 9 outstanding individuals were honored: Helen Yu for Community Service; Chris Law, United Healthcare & Xiaojing Li, Bank of China USA for Corporate Achievement; Peter Guang Yu for Professional Achievement; Meiling Kravarik for Woman Business Achievement; Eugene Huang & Moly Hung for Legal Achievement; Abel Sheng, Raamco International, Inc. for Achievement in Entrepreneurship and Ernest Williams for Service to NJCACC. Keynote speaker, Prof. Gregory Chow of Princeton University, gave an interesting talk on economic development in China. As with all NJCACC events, a lot of time was devoted to networking among the attendees, including an organized session conducted by NJCACC’s energetic MC, Shelley Mau. Additionally, the guests were treated to great music by Hawaiian Brian of Cosmic Entertainment and a magician who changed his masks imperceptibly (sponsored by NJCACC Board Member, Margret Lam).
